The most experienced level of In-House Chaska Youth Baseball, recommended for 11-13 year old players. The game is played on a 60-foot diamond with a pitching distance of 46 feet. In order to encourage the league to train more pitchers, there are rules that set the maximum number of innings a pitcher may pitch in a calendar week. Regulation games consist of six innings or four innings if a game is called. Special base running rules are also in effect. This league offers a more competitive nature with games played against Shakopee, Chanhassen, Eden Prairie, & Edina, as well as a End of Year Tournament Experience. Practices and games are mostly held on Tuesdays/Thursdays/Fridays, with an occasional weekend practice or game.
There will be several volunteer opportunities offered throughout the baseball season. Here are a list of options and how to claim them:
1. Head Coach, Assistant Coach, Team Manager:
There are only 3 adults per team that can have these titles. If you are chosen as one of the 3 adults, you will receive enough credits to cover 2 children worth of volunteer time. Your volunteer check will be shredded for up to 2 children.
2. Evaluation/Expo Volunteer:
There will be several volunteer opportunities available on April 7, 2018 for our Evaluation and Expo day. An email will go out closer to the date to announce these open positions. Remember, each child registered needs 2 Volunteer Shifts for the season. To complete your volunteer hours on this day, you would need to volunteer for 2 time slots per child. You can find these available on the "Dibs" Tab at the top of the Chaska Baseball Website.
3. Concession Stand Volunteers:
There will be several available volunteer opportunities throughout the baseball season to work at our concession stands. This is not a money maker for our league, however, it is a service we provide to parents and children who may not have enough time to get water, sports drinks, or even dinner before or after the game. You can find these available on the "Dibs" Tab at the top of the Chaska Baseball Website.
Occasionally we offer other volunteer opportunities, however, do not count on this occurring. Please volunteer for those items mentioned above.
